As co-owner and wealth advisor of Preservation Retirement Services, Laura Schultz loves building relationships with her clients and uncovering what they want from their dream retirement. She enjoys helping clients understand and simplify their investment options, then implementing financial plans designed to bring their retirement goals into reach.
Before joining Preservation Retirement Services, Laura spent 12 years as a successful commercial litigation attorney at the Thompson Hine LLP law firm in Cleveland. During that time, she assisted bank and manufacturing clients with resolving contract disputes.
Laura was inspired to switch career paths after watching her husband, Tim, connect with clients and change their lives for the better by helping them plan and build successful retirements. She is particularly passionate about helping women feel financially stable and confident in their financial decision-making.
Laura has passed the Series 65 securities exam and is an Investment Adviser Representative. A former classical musician, Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in flute performance from Western Illinois University. She also earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa.
Away from work, Laura is an avid home chef and sports fanatic, cheering on all University of Iowa and Cleveland teams. She also loves reading to her son, Caspian, and daughter, Samantha. Laura is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts and earned her Gold Award, the highest achievement possible. She continues to support Girl Scouts’ mission, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio. (Not to mention buying and eating a lot of cookies!)
