Meet Your Host

Stephen Dyer, CFP® | Founder of Optimal Wealth Strategies
When I graduated from Davidson Fine Arts, I did not know my life would lead me to become a financial planner. I lived in three other cities in Georgia and moved back to get married in 2008. I graduated from Augusta State University with a degree in Finance and Economics and have a desire to help as many as I can in achieving their financial goals. Growing up and living in the CSRA has solidified my desire to call this area home.

I am the founder of Optimal Wealth Strategies, a comprehensive financial and retirement planning firm. We are an independent firm located in West Augusta. Being independent allows us the freedom to utilize the right strategies available without beholding to another’s agenda. I work together in building plans that incorporate all aspect of your financial life. Being fully licensed in for investments as well as insurance, I can look at your entire financial health from a 30,000-foot view to encompass all aspects of your personal situation. My knowledge in taxes, investments, and insurance gives me a distinct advantage over many advisors as I can encompass all aspects of the financial world.

I married my wonderful wife in 2008. We have 3 boys who attend EDS. My wife was involved with the Junior League of Augusta for over 7 years and served as president from 2017-2018. She was actively teaching at Pure Barre the past 4 years and as of 2024 she purchased the studio and now runs that while the boys are in school. Our boys are active in sports and school activities along with simply growing up.

I look forward to meeting with you and finding out how we can help you down your financial path.
