YOUR HOSTS

Glen Hancock
Co-Founder of Advanced Financial Strategies

Sowing the Seeds of Success
I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. My mother was a homemaker and my father was a dairy farmer and salesman for a plumbing supply company. Watching how hard my father worked for his family and the way he managed money taught me the principles of hard work, service, loyalty, and integrity.

From Farming to Finance
I worked on the family dairy farm as a child which instilled in me the desire to grow a business of my own. After studying business and finance in college, I immediately found that opportunity as a financial advisor.

Passion to Help
Since 1982, I have had the opportunity to help thousands of people achieve independence and financial freedom. Throughout my years in this business, I have had a strong passion to help change people’s lives. It brings me great joy to see the sincere gratitude from clients when I help them.

– Married to Shauna with six children (Sherese, Lindsay, Brad, Ali, Kayla, and Anelise) and eight grandchildren.
– Attended Weber State University and the University of Utah.

Setting the Tone
I was born and raised in Utah by great parents who led by example. They taught me the value of hard work and the importance of education. My grandpa also played a pivotal role in shaping my strong work ethic. He ran a small business while also holding a full-time job. He inspired me to start my first job at the age of twelve which set the tone for my life and work habits.

Finding My Passion
I studied Accounting but soon realized that being in an office all day was not something I truly wanted to do. After moving to Texas to train under my two brothers who are also financial advisors, I made financial advising my full-time job in 1997. Since then, I’ve never looked back. Helping people gain financial freedom brings me pure joy.

Overcoming Obstacles
I enjoy working one-on-one with each client to figure out a plan that will work for them. The thrill of being presented with a new challenge excites me. Rest assured that when I set out to accomplish a task, I will get it done no matter what.

Hodson’s Highlights
– Married to LuAnn, with two children: Nathanael and Aurora
– Studied Accounting at Weber State University
– Served on a two-year church mission in Australia
– Very active in church
– Outdoor adventure enthusiast
